Angel Babies

Experiencing a life-limiting diagnosis for an unborn child or the death of a baby is one of the most heartbreaking and life-altering events a family can face. You don’t have to face it alone. Angel Babies/Bebitos Angelitos is here to provide the compassionate support your family needs – whether the loss is anticipated or sudden.

Angel Babies services are available for families who experience the loss of a baby in pregnancy and infancy, offering emotional support and resources in the midst of unexpected loss.

Our perinatal palliative care program supports families whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a life limiting condition, offering support and guidance during pregnancy and ideas for creating meaningful memories. For babies who survive after birth and require special care, we help families embrace their time together and, when necessary, prepare to say goodbye. Our Hinds Kids program is available as a care team for medically fragile babies and children, providing medical, emotional and spiritual support.

Angel Babies Services

People are not taught how to deal with the death of a baby. Our friends and family often don’t know what to say. Most people expect the parents, especially the father, to return to work within a few days after the loss and be “back to normal” within a matter of months. But the death of a baby changes parents forever, and results in a uniquely deep and personal grieving process. The Angel Babies/Bebitos Angelitos bereavement service provides families with helpful information and support during their journey of grief and mourning.

Perinatal & Palliative Care

Angel Babies/Bebitos Angelitos is ready to give you as much – or as little – help as you desire before and after your loss. Our team consists of nurses, social workers, chaplains and caring volunteers who partner with your family and health care provider. This team provides comfort, support and assistance to families in identifying resources to help them cope during pregnancy, after birth and on their journey of grief.

Angel Babies offers the following services to anyone in the community:

  • Specialized support groups
  • Bereavement support for family members for 13 months, follow-up calls and grief support mailings
  • Funeral and memorial planning assistance
  • Special memorial events
  • Grief counseling
