Meet Tegest Hailu, M.D.
the Medical Director of Hinds Hospice

Picture

Outside of Hinds Hospice, Dr. Hailu has a non-profit named International Society for Better Health Access (ISBHA), a non-profit where she gathers funds to assist Ethiopia with their water systems and road reconstruction. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to Ethiopia and cooking great Ethiopian food. She also loves to read historical fictions and watches documentaries. She's very active in her church and has been active in a lot of under-served organizations and projects such as The Poverello House and Stone Soup. Dr. Hailu decided to join Hinds Hospice because she enjoys serving people who belong to under-served populations and sees this as part of her ongoing commitment of whole patient care. She has 3 teenagers and a loving husband who works in correctional psychiatry.
