Meet Katie Dill

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Katie has been volunteering/working in healthcare settings since the age of 14 years old. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. Seeing her father have his first heart attack when she was 5 years old, she knew her calling was to become a registered nurse. At this very young age Katie experienced what patient centered care could be like and has been committed throughout her career to ensure an environment exists for patients/families that is filled with empathy, compassion, care, love and kindness.
After graduating from Millikin University in Decatur, IL she began her nursing career in Fresno, California. She has held various clinical positions to include Oncology/Hospice, Telemetry, and Med/Surg. Valuing lifelong learning, she continued her education earning a Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from Fresno Pacific University. Her passion today is helping others create healing environments based on heart-centered leadership affirming everyone is a leader. Even more important to her, is how we show compassion and care to each other.
Katie has held a number of leadership positions over the years and is thrilled to be a part of the Hinds Hospice team.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, walking, traveling, and volunteering in the community. She can be also be found up in the mountains or at the coast capturing nature’s beauty through photography.
