At Hinds Hospice, we continually strive to provide the most complete and compassionate end-of-life care for patients and their families. That is why we have established a very unique Hinds Hospice Interdisciplinary Team to care for all aspects involved with a terminally ill patient. The team is comprised of the following professionals:
You are cared for by a team of compassionate professionals that take the time to provide information that makes all available care choices known and easier to understand. All care team members work closely with our Medical Director and patient's personal physician.
We Provide Care In Remote Areas
At Hinds Hospice, we provide care in remote areas that are not otherwise served. In 2011, our interdisciplinary teams traveled more than 600,000 miles to serve our patients needs.
The Hinds Hospice Center for Grief & Healing
Our Center for Grief & Healing provides support for all ages and types of grief loss. The Center is available to individuals with a life limiting condition as well as those in the community who have lost a loved one. Services includes group support, individual counseling, remembrance ceremonies & workshops. Two of the Center for Grief & Healing's most unique programs include Angel Babies & Circle of Friends. The Hinds Hospice Volunteer Network
Our extensive volunteer network enhances support for patients and families. They provide compassionate understanding, run errands, offer respite for care givers, and sit vigil with families during end-of-life transitions. They also help in our thrift stores, in the office and at our events. Our volunteers are an important part of who we are as an organization.
