Lynne Pietz, JD, is the Executive Director of Development for Hinds Hospice, overseeing a diverse and multi-faced fundraising program. She supervises the Development and Communication Departments which raise revenue raised in a variety of ways. Trained as a healthcare/elder law attorney, Ms. Pietz began her career as a medical malpractice defense attorney in southern California and then founded an estate planning/elder law practice in Dayton, Ohio after relocating there with her family. She left the practice of law to become the founding executive director of The Disability Foundation and The Ohio Community Pooled Trust, part of The Dayton Foundation. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio in 2001, she became Director of Planned Giving for the Northern Ohio Region of the American Cancer Society and then established a fundraising consulting business helping Cleveland-area nonprofits. Since coming to Hinds Hospice in 2010, Ms. Pietz has successfully led Hinds Hospice's first capital campaign to secure a new home for the agency, launched its volunteer-based peer-to-peer "Ray of Hope" annual fund drive, established a new major/planned gift program along with strategic grant-seeking and launched the agency's direct mail program.
